  • Identify the role foster care providers and the the critical needs of children in care.

  • Answer FAQs and provide community resources.

  • Conduct one-on-one or group information sessions (as needed).

2. Community Outreach & Engagement

  • Host and participate in local community events to raise awareness.

  • Maintain relationships with local organizations, churches & schools.

  • Use digital platforms (Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn) to promote foster parenting opportunities.

3. Eligibility Assessment

  • Conduct the Family Interest Form questionnaire after attending virtual information sessions.

  • Explain state-specific requirements (age, background checks, home space, etc.)

  • Connect with their local foster family agency or child placement agency to continue licensure process.

4. Support Agencies & Families Through the Licensing Process.

  • Guide families through application forms and required documentation as requested.

  • Increase family retention rates by maintaining consistent contact with both the agency and family.

  • Maintain regular follow-up to support families.

  • Offer moral support and encouragement by sharing personal stories.

  • Serve as a liaison between applicants and licensing staff.
